Clothes ArticlesPacking Light for Any Trip?
Packing light is ideal. It may not always be possible, depending on the purpose and length of your travel, but as a good measure, you should always strive to carry less clothing as possible. I told you in the past about what to pack for a cruise trip. But how about ordinary trips to some other country? I can't give you a definitive advice, because as I've already mentioned, it all depends on the circumstances of your trip and what resources are available to you. As a rule of thumb, however, I try to bring with me only a week's worth of clothing, as long as I have access to a washing machine nearby. If not, I try to bring a little more. Also another tip that is usually advised when packing for a trip is to make an actual list of what you are going to bring. You can start out with a very long list of things that you think you need to bring. Edit this list and re-edit it until you come up with a sublist of articles that can be fit inside one bag (if that is your goal anyway). Remember, you will have to carry your things more often than the carriers do, so it will be to your benefit if you will be able to pack as less things as possible. Furthermore, if you just want to bring one bag but not necessarily a light load, maybe it would be also helpful if you could roll your clothes instead of folding them. This maximizes the space available for your clothes. Yes, it may put additional wrinkles to your clothing, but I think it's OK as long as you have a flat iron nearby for your perusal. Some people even go the extreme and go out with hardly any clothing at hand. They just decide to buy their clothes in their destination, but I actually find this to be stupid because you will have to pack those clothes anyway, unless you're rich enough to ditch the clothes once you're done with it. In any case, it ultimately boils down to your personal packing style. Get a style and try to master it. It works. You can talk about... Packing Light for Any Trip?
