Clothes ArticlesHow to Iron Your Clothes Properly
When I was younger, my aunt would always reprimand me for not ironing my clothes everytime I went to school or the mall of maybe even to just a date. Ironing clothes was one of those tasks that I hated the most, and for good reason, too. I just couldn't stand the heat that is present whenever I iron my clothes. It turns out my aunt also hated ironing clothes back in her younger years.
But since eventually I had to iron my clothes for work, I had to force myself to iron out my clothes. This is not a new scenario as a lot of people really don't learn how to iron clothes until they get out of college. It was not easy. It was never easy ironing clothes because there will always be spots that will be left wrinkled. You have to remember the heat levels that you have to set for each particular fabric type, and so on and so forth. Whenever you are ironing clothes, remember to sort them out according to fabric type. There are usually instructions at the tag of your clothes to indicate how you should handle them with an electronic iron. A mistake here could learn to serious damages in your clothes, like, burning a hole through them, for example. For shirts, the first section that you have to iron out is the collar. For some, this is the most important part of the shirt and, thus, have to be handled with care. Stretch this on your ironing board and iron away. From here on, you can choose to iron the body or the sleeves. Personally, I prefer to iron the body first. Just remember to start on one side of the shirt, moving to the other side. The same can be said for your pants. Lay your pant legs on the length of the ironing board and start with the waist band, which can be compared to the collar of your shirt. Start with one leg and then move to the other, removing all wrinkles in the process. Afterwards, hang immediately using a hanger.
